Who We Are
We The People of Northwest Louisiana is a volunteer based, grassroots organization created to promote and preserve the Constitution of these United States and the inalienable rights it seeks to protect.
We proudly associate ourselves with other groups of our persuasion throughout this great nation, commonly known as the TEA Party movement. Many people incorrectly believe the lies and slander about our movement through old-school media sources and false statements (usually intentional) from elected political office holders of all political parties. We do not believe in anarchy, and do not look to the Boston Tea Party as the model way of dealing with dissatisfaction of our government’s taxation policies or any other policies for that matter. TEA stands for “Taxed Enough Already.” There’s only one guaranteed way to rise above the commonly disseminated propaganda about who we really are and what we believe and stand for, and that is by finding out for yourself through regular attendance of our meetings for a period of a few months at least, and especially by staying afterward to chat with us.
Our Core Beliefs
We believe in limited government; free markets; fiscal and personal responsibility; preservation of the law, as envisioned by our Founding Fathers; respect for the American flag; and freedom to voice our religious beliefs without fear of repression – one nation, under God, as defined by our Pledge of Allegiance. A term that would probably best describe us is “traditional constitutional conservatives”.
Our mission is to preserve individual liberties, and to ignite individuals to serve. We accomplish this by uniting individual voices via social networking sites, bi-monthly meetings, and encouraging regular citizen involvement in the political process at all levels, especially local and state; by providing citizens with an avenue for peaceful political action; and by providing Constitutional education so that all citizens understand how to utilize the power of their vote and voice.
You can sign up to get on our mailing list by attending one of our bi-monthly meetings. To check out what current events we have going, check out our events on our Facebook page.
